Lamar Chapter Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a student-led Christian organization that meets weekly before school at the middle and high schools. Student leaders and members praise and worship together, pray for one another, and learn how to become better disciples of Christ in their academic and athletic pursuits. These students provide Christ-like examples and support to their peers and community. Your race registration fees and/or donations go to providing college scholarships to FCA high school seniors at Lamar High School as well as supporting ministry opportunities to members throughout the year. This race originated 43 years ago by Coach R. Marti in memory of student Leon Owen.
